Heart no Kuni no Alice

"Nonsense!" Gowland protested. "This is just the perfect height!"

The twins looked at each other before nodding. "Let's ride it!"

Alice looked over to Gowland with a blank expression on her face. "I'm not getting on that."

"I think Alice might end up dying in this," Boris remarked dryly.

"Nonsense," Gowland scoffed.

The twins looked at each other before looking at Alice. "Nee-san, let's go!"

Alice looked down towards the twins. "There's no way I'm getting on that thing." She turned back around and walked off.

Boris blinked. "Hey, Alice, wait up!" he called out, hurrying after the girl.

"Alice, wait!" Gowland called out.

The twins quickly ran after Alice and grabbed onto her hands. "Nee-san, let's go! Please?" They both pouted at her.

Alice stared at the twins with a blank expression. "No."

Boris held back a laugh, patting her shoulder. "How about a small ride then?" he suggested.

The twins pouted, completely ignoring Boris. "Please?" they asked, looking at her with big, round eyes.

Alice looked at them and took a deep breath. "Fine. Just one ride."

Boris shook his head, patting Alice's shoulder. He withdrew his hand and smiled. "Alright, let's get going then."

Cheering, the twins proceeded to lead Alice over to the roller coaster, clinging onto her arms in case she decided to change her mind and flee.

Alice looked down at the twins. "I said I agreed to ride a small ride. Not that roller coaster!"

Boris shook his head, sighing heavily. "Dee, Dum, come on. You did tell her you guys wanted to go on a small ride, after all."

The twins pouted. "But!"

Alice looked at the twins sternly. "A small ride or none at all."

"You heard the pretty lady."

The twins whined even more and gave Alice the puppy-eyed look, their lower lips jutting out to complete the effect as they continued to look up at her pleadingly.

Alice looked down at them with a stern face. "Those looks won't change a thing, you know."

Boris snickered, deciding to just stay back and wait until the twins gave up or Alice did.

The twins whined. "But nee-san!"

Alice looked at them with a scowl on her face. "I said no and that's final."

"And she has spoken!" Boris exclaimed with a wide grin on his face.

"Okay," the twins whined, pouting even more.
