Salene rose an eyebrow. "Hitting him a lot... I really doubt that'll work."


Seiyu continued to slash through more creatures. "Everyone be on the lookout!" She moved to the side just as a blast of kinetic energy surged past her. "I think he's mad!"

"Well, after we killed a bunch of his minions, I doubt he'd be pleased to see us," Blake drawled out, jumping to the side as a kinetic blast flew past him.

Leon ducked as another blast flew over his head. He said, "Well. Hitting a target a lot of times is bound to do something."

Evangeline snorted as a kinetic blast headed right towards her. She held out a hand and let the energy hit it directly, somehow managing to only slide backwards an inch or two. "Yes, hitting him lots! You youngsters are all about the thinking, but sometimes a good old smack works just fine. Maybe it's a human thing, not a youth thing." She shrugged. "I mean, you're dodging these blasts, and they're being created by a minion, not the master. My guess..." She sniffed her hand. "Oooh. A mage-turned-vampire. An excellent addition to any vampiric bloodline."

Kaien sighed and looked over to Evangeline. "Well if this is from a minion . . . imagine how strong the master is. He can probably blow us all away just by lifting a finger."

Salene rolled her eyes. "You can compliment his choice in minions later!"


Seiyu took out a small orb from inside her pant pocket. She whispered a word and threw it on the ground. In a matter of seconds, white, transparent strands formed and moved forward. "You'll find the minion there! Don't let him get the chance to use higher spells."

"Ooh, how interesting," Blake noted, eyes narrowed slightly as he twirled his blades between his fingers.

Leon blinked, bemused. Then he turned to Seiyu. "You have objects like that?"

"Interesting magic," Evangeline commented, tilting her head but not making any move towards the direction indicated.

Kaien looked around and rose an eyebrow. "Shouldn't someone follow that?"

Salene just sighed and followed that path with her eyes. "Seems like he's just straight ahead." She raised her spear and threw it.


Seiyu moved to the side as the spear zoomed past her. "You guys do what you want. I have a job to finish." She smiled back to the others and sped off ahead.

"And there she goes," Blake whistled, ducking from an attack before grinning. "See you!" With that, he quickly headed into the same direction as Seiyu.

Leon sighed, rubbing the back of his head while avoiding more enemies charging at him. He muttered, "Well...this is just swell."

A vampiric creature ran towards Evangeline and she easily ripped off its head, not even giving it a glance. "I've already said--don't you dare take my dinner!" With that, she darted off after the others.

Kaien sighed and looked over to Leon. "So . . . should we stay behind and cover their backs?"

Salene rolled her eyes. "Let them go what they want up there." She stuffed her hands into her coat and sighed. "Let's just wait for them here."


Seiyu continued dashing forward while slashing through anything that got in her way. "If you want your dinner, then you better speed it up, Evangeline!"

Blake snickered, evading an attack while slashing the throat of a creature. "Let's hurry and get this over with, already!"

Leon nodded. "Sounds good to me."

Something flashed in Evangeline's eyes. "I warned you," she muttered, picking up an enormous vampiric dinosaur and tossing it at Seiyu from behind.

Kaien shrugged and looked around. "So . . . what now? I'm pretty sure they're going to kill everything that comes their way."

"How about we make a bet? Who do you think is going to make it out of there alive?" Salene snickered and pulled out a pack of tarot cards. "I bet the women will."


Seiyu laughed lightly and quickly killed the dinosaur. "That's the spirit!" She spun around and threw out a few round objects behind her. Within seconds the area was covered in sealed off by translucent blue spider webs. Now nothing can attack them from behind.

Blake glanced back to see the vampiric dinosaur heading toward them and quickly moved out of the way to avoid being hit.

Leon crossed his hands over his chest as he thought about it. "Nah, don't underestimate that guy too much. I heard his good luck always works when he's in situations like this."

Evangeline grinned, catching up to Seiyu. "Oh, honey, I knew I liked you! So what are those things you just tossed?"

There came a pounding from a giant set of double doors that led outside.

Kaien looked over towards Leon. "How do you know that? I think all of them will survive."
