Wizardland

Aiden stared down at Ali, eyebrow raised. "I think you might have an idea on who's watching us."

Al frowned at him. "Wha? So I lie about one little thing an' suddenly I'm evil or somethin'?"

"Thanks for trying." He shrugged then stared at the cliffside. "I don't get it. There has to be a way up besides climbing."

Esther shrugged lightly. "Is there a cave nearby? Maybe we have to go inside the cliff to get to the top." She paused for a brief moment. That sounded silly. "Nevermind. I don't think that made sense."

"That's great! Let's hurry!" Raine smiled and took a quick look at her surroundings. There's something in the air that bothers her, but she can't figure out what.

Erik paused and looked back at her. "Is something wrong, Raine?"

Aiden just stared at Al with a raised eyebrow. "I don't think that you're a bad guy, but I do think that you might be holding more secrets than you'd like to share." He looked around warily again. "But let's get going."

Al puffed out her cheeks and followed him with her arms crossed. "'m not a liar," she muttered.

"No, it did." Cole immediately began to walk along the side of the mountain. "There are a lot of caves like that at home. Secret passageways."

"Great!" Esther smiled and followed after him. "I wonder how the others are doing on getting their items." She continued to look around. "Before we go into the caves we should find something to give us light. I'm pretty sure the caves are going to be really dark."

"Nope. It's nothing." Raine turned back towards Erik. "Let's get going." She started running again. More than likely it was probably nothing.

Erik tilted his head before following after Raine.

Aiden rolled his eyes. "I didn't say that you were, Al."

She teared up and moved her little hands to rest on her hips.

He smacked his forehead. "Wow, of course. I can't believe I didn't think about that. Doesn't the surface world have...um, what are they called? Fire bugs? Fire flyers?"

"You're probably talking about fireflys. I don't think they're out right now. Let's find some broken tree branchs and we'll make our own torches." Esther smiled and walked off to find tree branches.

Raine stopped a short distance away. "I think I see someone over there. Come on!"

Erik nodded and continued on running to where Raine saw the person.

Aiden sighed, giving her a small apologetic smile but then looked around again when he felt something. He said, "Let's get moving."

"All right," Al said, but still sounded a bit annoyed. She followed him, humming a song as she skipped.

"Ah, right, fireflies. I still don't understand how the bugs live if they're on fire," Cole pondered to himself as he followed her.

Esther laughed lightly. "They're not really on fire. They're just called that because they emit light." She picked up a few thick tree branches. "Now, let's go find some dry grass and stuff."

Raine followed after him. "Hey! They're moving away. Let's run faster."

Erik nodded, quickening his pace in order to catch up to the other two.

Aiden watched Al quietly before pausing when he heard running. He glanced behind him warily, unsure if it were their companions coming or someone else.

Al frowned, obviously not hearing the running, but noticing Aiden's distress. "What's wrong?"

Cole groaned. "That's so misleading! Why don't they just call them lighter-upper bugs, then?" He frowned. "Yeah, that sounds stupid. Pretend I didn't suggest that." He picked up a few branches himself and staggered slightly before finding his balance.

Esther giggled lightly. "It's alright. It is misleading, but I think the name suits them well." She gathered her items and started putting her torch together.

Raine followed after him. She picked up her pace and was running along side him again. "Who do you think that it up ahead?"

"Only one way to find out," Erik replied as he quickened his place and jumped on the person.
