Wizardland

Aiden blinked and peered over at her curiously.

"It's very suspicious, the whole thing..." Cole said.

Al's eyes widened. "That was so cool," she said.

Esther nodded lightly. "It is, but what can we do about it? It seems we're stuck until we complete this."

Raine smiled. "I just used the water to bring out where they stepped. I wasn't too sure if it'll work but it did."

"Then let's go find them," Erik remarked with a hint of a feral grin.

Aiden smirked and nodded toward Raine. "Good job."

"Yeah, I know," Cole said after a thoughtful pause. A humming sound filtered through the air.

"Okay, let's go then!" Al said brightly. "Awesome, Raine."

Esther looked around cautiously. "I wasn't the only one who hears that, right? That doesn't sound good . . . at all."

"Thank you. Let's follow the trail before it somehow disappears." Raine looked ahead and saw that the footprints were still glowing. That's always a good sign. If the footprints disappear, then their one way of finding Esther and Cole were gone.

"Lead the way," Erik told Raine, tail wagging from side to side.

Aiden nodded. "Better hurry now or else we'll lose any track of them."

"I've never heard a sound like that before...it's almost...metallic. Do you have metals that make noises on the surface? I guess you must, because your giant metal vessels are always sinking," Cole asked(/accused).

"Do you think there're ghosts here?" Al asked.

"There are plenty of metal objects that makes noises. Trying to figure out what kind of object it is may be the problem." She cupped her chin between her thumb and index finger. "In any case . . . we should run out of here."

Raine smiled. "Of course not, Al. Ghosts like houses." She smiled even bigger and started walking ahead to lead them.

"If there are ghosts, don't worry. They're not likely to do anything to you," Erik told Al before ushering her and Aiden to follow after Raine. "Let's go. We don't have much time to waste here."

Aiden hummed, walking after Raine while glancing around in case anything decided to pop out on them.

"Ghosts are real?!" Al asked, looking terrified.

"Run? Now?" Cole squeaked. He still was not great on his legs, after all.

"Run. Walk fast. Anything that is faster than the pace that we're going at now." Esther smiled. "If you want, I'll carry you."

Raine smiled and laughed lightly. "Of course ghost are real. But you don't need to worry. They can't hurt you, Al."

The wolf tilted his head, eyeing Al for a moment before huffing. Erik nodded in agreement with Raine. "Just keep moving forward. It's not like ghosts are interested in any of us, anyway."

Aiden gave out a soft snort, but didn't say anything in favor of keeping moving forward.

"Whaa--no, I'm not going to let a girl carry me," Cole said, blushing furiously as he began to run in the least elegant way possible, letting his arms swing wildly.

Al did not look appeased.

Esther laughed lightly and started running a bit behind him. "Just keep going and try not to trip."

Raine smiled. "True enough. Let's get going." She turned her attention back to the footsteps. "We can always talk about ghosts later." She snickered quietly and resumed following the footsteps.

Erik snorted and continued to follow after Raine.
