Wizardland

Aiden nodded. "Let's hope we'll run into them wherever they are."

"No," Cole said, looking around. "But we should try one of the tunnels. How about this one?" He gestured towards the center-most tunnel.

Al swallowed nervously and moved closer to the group. "W-which way do we g-go?"

"Let's try it then." Esther smiled and started walking over the center tunnel.

"I believe they went after the griffin. So we should look for cliffs." Raine looked around and tried to see through the fog. "The fog is too thick... and I can't do anything to thin it out."

"We'll need to use our instincts then," Erik muttered, sniffing the ground. "Their scent is fading fast."

Aiden looked around, grimacing at the fog. "We need to move quickly."

Cole followed her closely, glancing at the tunnel walls. "This place looks pretty old. I wonder who carved it. The formations aren't natural."

Al watched Erik sniff the ground, then glanced back at Aiden. She was waiting for someone else to go first.

Esther shrugged lightly. "This place doesn't look like anyone's been here for a long time . . . Hopefully we won't run into anyone at the end."

"Then let's quickly head over there. I think they went that way." Raine turned towards the direction Esther and Cole went. "Follow me!" She took off running.

"Hope you two can keep up," Erik told them before taking off after Raine.

"Come on, Al," Aiden said as he ran after the other two.

Cole smiled awkwardly, touching the cave walls again. "Or in the middle."

Al followed, but remained a bit behind the rest. Her little legs could only go so fast.

"Right. Or in the middle." Esther laughed lightly and continued ahead. "It seems like this tunnel will go on forever . . . I hope it's not one of those endless tunnels."

Raine looked back to see the others following. "Hopefully we'll reach them before they get into serious trouble. I rather avoid a fight, even if it is with an animal."

Erik snorted, slowing down a bit when he noticed that Al wasn't catching up. "Need a ride?"

"Don't like fighting?" Aiden asked as he caught up to Raine.

"Endless tunnels...are they endless because a wizard made them that way or is that normal on the surface world?" Cole was in awe.

Al shook her head. "I'm fine. I don't wanna burden ya."

"Endless tunnels are usually made by wizards, but I've heard that there are some that seem endless because the surrounding environment messes with our minds." Esther smiled and continued on. "I have full confidence that this tunnel is neither."

Raine shook her head. "Not really. My parents were against violence and they taught me the same."

"It's hardly a burden," Erik told her, gold eyes staring intently on the girl.

"Ah," Aiden muttered. "So you're a pacifist then."

"Why is that? Do the walls look different in endless tunnels or something?" Cole inspected one.

Al blinked at Erik then shook her head again, but this time with more force. "Really, M'fine. I don't like to impose, which is why the whole askin' for help situation is upsettin' to me."

Esther shrugged. "Just a feeling." She smiled innocently and continued on forward.

Raine looked over to Aiden and smiled. "I guess I am!"

"Alright then," Erik said before speeding up to catch up to Raine and Aiden.
