Aiden raised an eyebrow. "But isn't it because we sensed that there was something strange going on?"

"A flying spell would be great," Cole noted.

Al nodded sadly. "I hope they're okay."

"A flying spell would be great but . . . I don't think either of us can do something like that." She rubbed her head lightly. "Unless you know how, Cole?"

"True..." Raine laughed lightly and kept on the path. "I'm sure they're fine. If anything, they may have gotten stuck somewhere."

Erik felt his ears twitch when he heard sounds coming from a few yards away and then glanced back at the others, clearly waiting for them to catch up.

"Or they got into trouble," Aiden supplied, albeit unhelpfully.

Cole shook his head. "I don't know any spells. I thought they'd teach us that here. I'm not learning anything, really."

Al winced at Aiden, tearing up. "If they got hurt 'cause of me..."

"Hmm . . . looks like we're at a dead end. Should we head back?" She sighed lightly. "It's too bad since we got this far."

"They're fine." Raine looked over at Aiden and gave him a scowl. She doesn't want Al getting worried and blaming herself if something did happen to them. "Like I said, they're probably stuck somewhere."

Erik lightly shook his head and sniffed the air once more before sniffing the ground. He let out a low growl, looking around more carefully.

Aiden cringed slightly under the look and looked down at Al. He said, "Raine's right. And don't worry, they have each other to make sure nothing bad happens to them."

Cole nodded and turned around. "Yeah, let's just go back. Maybe one of the others can figure out what to do."

Al nodded, biting her lip.

Esther nodded lightly. "Let's head back then. Hopefully the others haven't gotten far."

Raine smiled and walked over to Erik. "Anything? The path is ending."

"They made good distance," Erik told her. "But their scent is fading quickly. We need to find another path."

"How are we going to do that?" Aiden asked as he looked around.

Cole began to make his way back slowly and uncertainly.

"I don't see any other paths," Al noted unhelpfully.

Esther looked over to Cole and smiled. "Something on your mind, Cole? You have that confused face on you."

Raine looked around. "Why don't we check over?" She walked a bit to the side. "Maybe they went through the caves."

Erik nodded in agreement and walked after Raine, lingering a bit behind to watch over Al.

"Alright," Aiden muttered as he followed after them.

Cole hesitated before replying. "This whole thing is very strange. I wonder if it's a set-up. The whole wizarding school."

Al's eyes widened. "The caves...? Uh-oh. I hope they didn't."

"You mean that this is some crazy plot that someone set up to find five individuals with different abilities?" Esther took a second to think. "Or that this whole quest is a set-up for some villain to see our abilities? Either way it has something to do with our abilities."

"One way to find out." Raine walked into the cave. "Whoa. It's really dark here. Does anyone have a way to make light?"

"Not me," Erik answered as he followed after Raine.
