"Okay then, I'll get that for you." She nodded at him and headed to the counter to prepare said drink.

Vincent smiled and looked around. "You wouldn't happen to know a good coffee shop nearby would you?"

She rolled her eyes and turned her attention out the window. Such a rude person. She's going to have to teach him some manners.

Atticus leaned back in his chair, tugging his hood down from his head. He looked out of the window, frowning a bit.

"I'm heading to it right now. If you want, you can accompany me," Shaye suggested.

Pax returned with the drink and set it on the table in front of Atticus. She raised an eyebrow at his expression. "You okay? What's with the hood? It's like...80 degrees out. Migraines?" Eh, it was her co-worker's tip she was risking anyway.

"That's great. I would love to accompany you. Thanks again." Vincent grinned. So far things were going great. It's only a matter of time before he is able to achieve his mission. Hopefully, it'll go well without fail.

Valeria took a deep breath and continued to stare out the window. She needed to keep a close eye. Her brother could show up any minute and cause trouble. There's no way she's going to let that happen. Never in a million years!

"Just a little," Atticus lied, giving her a nod of thanks. "It's nothing to worry about, though."

"It's no trouble at all," Shaye said, beginning to continue his way to the cafe.

She shrugged at him and wandered back to the counter, which she began to scrub since no one seemed to need her attention currently. A strand of blue hair fell into her eyes and she tried to blow it away from her face unsuccessfully. "I need to get a better job," she muttered.

Vincent followed after him. "So is this coffee place really good? I heard it was."

"This sucks." She sighed and leaned back into her chair. Things had to get like this. She sat up and looked around again.

Atticus glanced out of the window, tapping the edge of the table with a slightly annoyed look.

Shaye nodded. "It's one of the best around here."

Still cleaning, Pax glanced out the window to check the weather and accidentally followed through too hard on a scrub, knocking a dozen muffins onto the floor and soap-covered counter.

She groaned and slumped over, resting her head on the counter.

"That's great! I can't wait to try it." Vincent grinned and saw the coffee shop coming into view. "Looks like we're here."

Valeria turned towards the commotion. She covered her face and lightly snickered.

Atticus looked over, chuckling in amusement. Even he can't deny the fact that the scene was funny.

"It was nice meeting you Vincent," Shaye said as he entered the cafe. He looked around, his eyes falling on Pax.

Great, now the customers were laughing at her. She looked up at them for a quick glance, trying not to show how angry she was, before diving behind the counter and sitting on the floor. Pax picked up a muffin and threw it at the floor by her feet. "I have got to get away from this job," she muttered.

"It's nice meeting you too, Shaye." Vincent looked around the cafe. His eyes lingered on Valeria and his eyes narrowed. How is she here? This was not good.

Valeria heard the door open and turned towards it. Her eyes widened. No way! Why is he here?! This is not good. Now she's going to have to act faster before he tries anything.

Atticus lifted his head when he heard the door open, eyes narrowing when he caught sight of Vincent. Well, this wasn't going to end well. He glanced between Valeria and Vincent, keeping quiet.

Shaye nodded and walked over to Pax, unaware of the tension building up in the room. He looked at Pax.

"Having fun?"
