"Oh..." Pax could not help but watch as Shaye flipped through the photos. "I..." She laughed nervously. "If I believe you, which I don't, then who's your father?"

Nathan ran through the automatic doors to his job, which happens to be a bookstore. He quickly ran to the desk and got his things ready for his shift.

"My father? I don't really remember much of him. He died early. I do know his name was Nathan. Do you know anyone by that name?"

After getting onto ground again, Atticus proceeded to follow the trail he saw the person from before walk, which led right into the bookstore. Smirking, he quickly plastered a curious face and peered into the bookstore. "Hello?"

Shaye froze, eyes widening imperceptibly before he quickly adopted a mask of indifference. "No," he spoke up. "I've never heard of anyone named Nathan around here before."

"No," Pax said, "But, if this is all true, why did you come to me and not him?"

Nathan turned his head and smiled. "Hey there. How can I help you?"

"Well... I can't find him. With only a name it's a bit hard to find him in a city this big." Valeria scratched the back of her head. "I thought about looking for him, but again... I don't know much about him."

Atticus smiled at Nathan widely. "Yes, I'm looking for a specific book. It's about time traveling."

"And what do you know about him?" Shaye asked, looking at Valeria closely.

"If he's your father, why don't you know anything about him? Did he leave us or die or something?" Although Pax's tone was harsh, she looked surprisingly accepting of the whole situation.

Nathan tilted his head. "Time travel? So you are looking for a fiction?"

"I told you. He died young." Valeria tapped her chin with her finger, thinking. "Oh! I know." She dug into her bag again and took out an old piece of paper. "I found this picture of him." She placed it onto the table and smiled. "From what I was told, he liked books and was very strategic."

Atticus nodded, smiling slightly. "Yeah. I've always been intrigued by the idea of time travel. Do you have books on that?"

Peering closely at it, Shaye blinked, but otherwise kept his face neutral. "That's him?"

"Right, sorry, but this is sort of a lot to handle. But he can't be dead already, right? Since you aren't born yet? I mean...if I never knew my father and had a chance to meet him, I'd take it." Pax rubbed her forehead. She glanced at the photo when Valeria presented it and pressed her lips together. "Do you know him, Shaye?"

"There are a few books down the third aisle," Nathan replied while pointing towards the direction. "Were you planning on buying any or borrowing?"

Valeria smiled. "That is true. For some reason I can't find him. So I came to you instead."

"I'm not sure yet," Atticus said with a smile. "I was just hoping to browse through them first."

Shaye sighed heavily, crossing his arms across his chest. He clicked his tongue. "I don't know him, per se," he muttered. "But I think I've seen him around town before."

Pax let out a long breath. "Where have you seen him?"

"Go right ahead. I'll be here when you make your decision."

"Are you two planning on finding him? It's going to be dangerous! Especially with Atticus running around."

"Thank you." Atticus smiled wider before deciding to roam around, looking curiously at the shelved books.

Shaye waved off her concern. "Nothing to worry about," he commented. "If it's really that brat, then I've seen him in a bookstore around here."
