Pax cleared her throat. "I mean...I guess if you aren't worried about it. It's not like I have any clue what I'm doing." She listened very carefully to Valeria's answer to Shaye.

"Hey!" Nathan took a few leaps backwards. "What did you just do?!"

"My father? His name is Nathan. Nathan Holloway, I believe." Valeria nodded in confirmation. "Yep. That's his name. Have you guys heard of him? I know I asked earlier, but there's a lot of people in the world with the name of Nathan." She laughed lightly and looked at each of their faces to see if the name registered any reaction.

Brushing dirt off his clothes, Atticus beamed. "I just took us on a little trip. You know, there's always more exciting things out in the open."

With a smirk, he spread his arms wide over the dark city below from where they were standing, towers rising high into the air with dark clouds polluting the sky. Below in the streets, there were cars with horns blaring, people hurrying to get from one place to another, and the smell of death lingering throughout the city.
