N.I.G.H.T.M.A.R.E

Evrae muttered under her breath and ran after the others. "Hurry!"

"Hey, wait for me!" Nathan yelled as he ran after everyone else, not wanting to be left behind.

"Ugh, stupid sticks," Gigi muttered, rubbing them together as she remained with the group. "Can't light them."

"Take your time on those sticks. We can back you up." Tori kept a close eye on the moving shadows. "They're getting closer . . ."

"Great..." Alex raised his slingshot and took aim. "I really wish this game wasn't crazy. We still have a good few hours until this round is over."

Evrae took out her pistol and shifted into position. "This is going to be a long night," she muttered.

Nathan released a heavy sigh, eyeing the shadows warily. He said, "I'm really beginning to loathe this game with a passion."

"Am I even doing it right?!" Gigi shrieked, hitting the sticks harder together.

"Try rubbing them together." She glanced over to Gigi and silently snickered at her choice of weapon. "Take your time on that." She flipped her knife back and forth.

"Get ready to fight. This will probably get nasty real quick." He kept his slingshot raised. "I truly hate this."

Evrae readied her pistol, keeping her eyes on the shadows. "It was a stupid idea to join this game," she scowled.

"Do you really think we have time to wait?" Nathan questioned. "We're kind of running out of ti-- Woah!" He ducked as a Necromorph attacked him from the side.

Gigi took the advice and rubbed the sticks together, generating a tiny flame. "Oh my gosh!" she yelled, looking uncertain of her next step.

"Spread the fire!" Tori jumped to the side and rammed her knife into the head of a zombie and forcefully wretched it out. "We'll cover you for as long as we can."

"Yeah... Cover... Sounds like a plan." Alex took aim and let loose a few pebbles into the eye sockets of a few zombies. "Better hurry. All this noise will attract more of these things and I'm pretty sure we'll be completely outnumbered if more show up."

"Then better to hurry and get this over with!" Evrae shot a few zombies in the head before doing a roundhouse kick at an upcoming necromorph, sending it sprawling onto the ground.

Nathan resisted the urge to curse and ducked as a Necromorph just flew over his head. "How long will it take to spread the damn fire?"

"Whaaat? How do I spread the fire?" Gigi asked, holding the sticks at a distance.

"Lit up some trees or cars. Anything that can catch on fire!" Tori jumped over a Necromorph and swung her arm down the arms. "Not to add any pressure but . . . HURRY UP!"

Alex ducked as a Necromorph tried to take a swipe at him. He ran over to Gigi while breaking a few branches off a nearby tree. "Light these. Maybe we'll be able to burn them to a crisp."

Evrae backhanded an incoming zombie and bashed its head into the concrete floor when it collapsed. She growled. "This is really annoying. How much longer until sunrise!?"

"Two hours," Nathan panted as he ducked and kicked away a Necromorph.

"Okay, just light stuff on fire and let it explode. I can do that." Gigi lit the branches Alex had offered. "D-did that help?"

"Two hours? Cross your fingers and hope these next two hours fly by." Tori ran over to Alex and Gigi. "Excuse me." She took a branch from Alex and started running towards the zombies and Necromorphs.

Alex looked over to Tori and laughed. "She has the right idea." He turned his attention back to Gigi. "You think you can follow her example? It'll be risky."
