N.I.G.H.T.M.A.R.E

"Right," Evrae agreed, noticing some movements out of the corner of her eye. "But we better get moving. More of them are coming."

Nathan peered over at where Evrae was looking and nodded in agreement. He said, "It doesn't do well if we stay in one place for too long."

Gigi nodded, but did not seem to trust them completely. How could she trust anyone in this crazy game that she didn't quite understand? "Okay," she said reluctantly.

Tori looked around. "We should find an abandoned building and barricade the entrances and exits."

Alex shook his head. "That may not be a good idea. We should just keep moving while being incredibly quiet."

"If we barricade a building, there's no telling if there's some already inside," Evrae agreed, sparing a glance down at her watch.

Nathan also peered at his watch. He said, "Dawn is coming soon. We just have to make sure we survive by then."

"What if it's a really small building?" Gigi asked, gesturing with one of her sticks. "Ooh, or an airplane. Could they get us on an airplane?"

Tori shook her head to Gigi's suggestion. "I don't think there'll be an airplane. Whoever brought us into this wouldn't give us an airplane to escape." She raised her arm up and pointed to the bracelet. "Plus, I don't think these things would allow us to enter any type of transportation."

Alex laughed while rubbing his head. "That's very true...I tried getting into a car earlier and got quite a bit of a shock. Don't want to do that again."

Evrae sighed, glancing over at the zombies that were making their slow trek over to them. She said, "These bracelets will prevent any means of escape from this bloody game. And it doesn't help since it's the reason how those things can keep finding us. We need to get to a safer area." She paused, hearing a roar in the background. "Quick."

"This game is a major pain in the ass," Nathan muttered once he heard the roar.

Gigi let out a little shriek. "No transportation, just lots of zombies coming for us."

"Yeah let's get to high ground. That way if we have to fight them we can push them off the roof and watch them splatter on the concrete." Tori looked around and saw shadows slowly approaching. "We better get going . . . now."

"Going sounds like a good idea. So... where to?" Alex kept a close eye on the shadows while making sure the roaring doesn't get any louder.

Evrae scanned the area before her eyes landed on a tall building. She pointed over there and said, "How about that building?"

Nathan looked over at where Evrae was pointing and nodded. "That can work..." He glanced back at the others. "What do you guys think?"

Gigi screamed and ran towards the building in question, completely desperate to escape.

"Don't run! And don't scream! You'll attract them!" Tori looked around the corner of her eye to see the shadows approaching at a faster rate. "I think we'll need to run and fight."

"That may be a good idea... they're approaching... very fast might I add," Alex commented as he raised his slingshot and placed in a few pebbles.

Evrae huffed, resisting the urge to palm her face as she eyed the shadows. "This should be fun," she muttered.

Nathan smiled slightly. "So, shall we get a move on?"

"Fight with my sticks, yeah right," Gigi muttered, but did stop screaming.

"Let's go!" Tori took off in the direction that Gigi ran to while keeping her knife close in hand. This was going to be a long night.

"Right behind you!" Alex started running in the same direction as Tori and Gigi. "Cross your fingers and hope we make it through!"
